The post Erin Clarkson of “Cloudy Kitchen” Traded Science for Becoming Baking Superstar appeared first on MagazineBlogger.
]]>Clarkson studied geology and geography, and she developed an understanding of the scientific process during her time at the university. Her background in this field shaped her journey as a baker and influenced the way she develops recipes today. She’s a huge believer that baking is an absolute science, and her process includes obsessive testing, re-testing, and making tiny tweaks before she gets it 100% right.
Another thing that inspired Clarkson’s journey as a baker was her move from New Zealand to New York. She spent her now-husband Rick while working at an oil rig, and used cooking to cure her homesickness after moving with him to New York.
“I started baking a few of my favorite New Zealand recipes to bring a bit of home closer to me… As my homesickness gradually faded my baking and recipes began to take on more and more inspiration from my experiences in America,” she explains on her official website.
Clarkson now specializes in sharing accurate, repeatable, and thoroughly tested recipes with the world, and they helped her attract almost 500,000 to her Instagram page Cloudy Kitchen.

She eventually started sharing her creations on Instagram, and something extraordinary happened when she came up with the idea to mix her passion for baking and reading into one.
“It became this huge passion for me that I never saw coming… There’s certain books that the covers just speaks to me and I think ‘I’ve gotta make this into a pie. Sometimes I make them into a pie before I even read them, but most of the time I’m trying to feature books that I’ve loved or am excited about,” she told Good Morning America.
Hockersmith’s page is now a safe haven for all the book lovers out there looking for their next read. In addition to celebrating timeless classics we all know and love, she enjoys using her platform to introduce us to new books worth reading – mostly in the form of delicious pies.

]]>Tamagotchi was a big hit in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Coming in the size of a keychain, the toy allowed the players to select a wide range of digital pets that they needed to “feed” and “entertain” regularly if they wanted to keep them happy and healthy.
Now, KFC has decided to treat its customers with a dash of nostalgia by releasing a Tamagotchi toy named “Eduardochi.” It comes as a chicken drumstick-shaped keychain and allows players to choose between 10 different chicken drumstick virtual pets. Once they select their preferred design, the players need to take care of Eduardochi’s and increase its crispiness level by feeding it, sending it to school, and cleaning after it, among other things.
At the moment, Eduardochi is only available in Spain, where customers can pick it up at a price of 3.99 euros ($4.19) when purchasing at least one menu item. If you really want one but don’t have a trip to Spain planned anytime soon, you can always turn to eBay, where they are selling from $30 to $100.
“Here comes Eduardochi! Your virtual fried friend. Take care of them, bath them, feed them, take them to the doctor, make them dodge forks (?), make them earn money, buy them a sword (it doesn’t do anything, but it’s pretty cool), play frisbee, ignore them, watch as they become gradually depressed, put a cowboy hat on them. It’s Eduardochi!” the description on Eduardochi’s package states.

]]>His first attempt came for the creation of a yin-yang symbol created from the yolk and white of an egg separated and placed very intentionally on a pan. “From that moment, the ideas kept flowing, each design becoming more intricate than the last. I used to share my creations on my personal account, but in 2017 I decided to create The Eggshibit,” wrote Michele.
He’s tried other food mediums, but he can’t help but keep coming back to eggs. “While I’ve experimented with other foods and materials, eggs remain my favorite. There’s something uniquely calming and captivating about the contrast of the egg white and yolk against a black background,” he told Bored Panda.
Though the fried egg might seem simple, Baldini has managed to make it truly eye-catching. His works are not only tasty looking but truly one of a kind. “I think what sets my egg art apart is the intriguing use of an everyday object—the fried egg—to portray something equally familiar, like another object, symbol, or even a landscape. This combination creates a sense of relatability while sparking curiosity, making it both thought-provoking and uniquely engaging,” wrote Michele.

This new tradition worked wonders for his diet and helped him eat more veggies and fruits, so Macatangay decided to start sharing her creations with the world, hoping she’d help out other parents dealing with picky eaters.
“I get lots of people commenting asking me to teach them how I make the dishes that I do because they are facing the same issues. We all know how hard it is to raise a child who’s a picky eater and find things they will eat. People always say that I’ve inspired them but the truth is that they inspire me,” she told Mirror.
Macatangay’s plates are deeply rooted in popular culture and often pay homage to her son’s favorite cartoons. We’ve also seen her create food art inspired by many iconic film and TV characters, ranging from Wednesday Addams and Coraline to Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
