Crochet has been going strong for quite some time, and we’ve seen many fiber artists build a huge following after giving it a shot. Anneli Xie and Aleksander Jaworowski of Wool & Buggers became a true viral sensation thanks to their crochet creations, including their adorable series “Quack Couture”.

Xie and Jaworowski discovered their love for crochet while looking for a way to express themselves creatively in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Crocheting brought them the peace they desperately craved during this time and helped them transform their small student apartment into a true artistic oasis.

They describe their brand Wool & Buggers as “a process of sheltering and of homemaking… of finding and looking and missing and gaining.” It let their individual talents shine, with Jaworowski refining his fly-tying skills and Xie dabbling in crochet and fiber arts to create something extraordinary by each other’s side.

Wool & Buggers is best known for its “Quack Couture” series, which perfectly encapsulates their mission to create crochet that nurtures your inner child. This adorable series is mostly inspired by ducks, and they offer a wide range of patterns on their official website and Etsy store for anyone who wants to recreate their designs. Quack vests are their signature product, but you can use their patterns to crochet everything from sweaters to cardigans.
