Move over Moo Deng, there’s a new kid on the block. Haggis the pygmy hippo is the latest star at Edinburgh Zoo, capturing hearts and bringing attention to critical conservation efforts. Born to parents Otto and Gloria on October 30, 2024, this adorable calf is part of a globally endangered species, with fewer than 2,500 remaining in the wild. Named after Scotland\u2019s iconic dish, Haggis has already become a social media sensation, rivaling Thailand\u2019s famous hippo, Moo Deng.\n\n\n\n
